Stryker Corp. has announced an increase in the size of its Board of Directors to ten and the election of Allan C. Golston as a director, effective January 1, 2011.
In a release, the Company said that Golston has served since 2006 as President, United States Program for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and is a director for Malt O'Meal, a privately held breakfast cereal corporation. Golston has previously been a Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Director, Finance for Swedish Health Services.
Stephen P. MacMillan, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Stryker Corp., said, 'Allan's experience as a hospital finance executive, combined with his Gates Foundation role, will bring new and unique perspectives and insights to our Board.'
