The Swedish health services group Capio AB issued its first quarter report on Wednesday (28 April), posting an operating result of SEK425m, up from SEK123m in the first quarter of 2003.
The net turnover amounted to SEK2,397m, as compared to SEK2,356m in the first quarter last year.
'Capacity utilisation and earnings developed positively for all units during the first quarter. In particular, the effects of the efficiency-enhancement programmes started in 2003 began to be felt during the period,' Capio said.
One Swedish krona (SEK) is worth approximately 0.07 British pounds (GBP).
